To perform an ownerchange of an .UK domain you have to contact nominet directly.

Domain Renewal

As .UK domains can only be registered on a 2-year basis, they cannot be renewed explicitly. To renew an .UK domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to "AUTORENEW" or "RENEWONCE".

Deletion Process

In order to delete a .UK Domain it has to be de-tagged. This can be done
* In the web interface:
 "Domain Admin" -> "Push" -> ".UK Deletion"

* with the corresponding API command

.UK Domain Transfers are possible.

Transfer procedure

In order to transfer a .UK domain to your account you have to complete the following steps:

* Request a transfer for this domain with the TransferDomain command.
* You / the domain owner must contact the current registrar for this domain and ask him to change the IPS Tag of the domain to "KEY-SYSTEMS-DE".

Once the IPS tag has been changed the domain will be put on your account.

Transfer notes

* Please note that when a .UK Domain is transferred successfully, the remaining registration period is kept. The domains will not be extended by one year.
* Please do not forget to initiate the transfer in the RRPPRoxy, even though your current provider only has to change the REGISTRAR-TAG or the domain will ot be put on your account.
* If the tag is not changed to KEY-SYSTEMS-DE for a domain requested in the RRPProxy, the transfer will timeout after 45 days.

The exact transfer time is dependant on the current registrar.

Restores

As .UK domains are not really deleted, but de-tagged and pushed back to NOMINET the domain has to be tagged again and transferred to us.

Restore Procedure

The procedure to re-tag an .UK domain is merely the same as the transfer procedure.

* Request a transfer for the domain with the TransferDomain command.
