.SE is the official country code Top-Level-Domain (ccTLD) of Sweden.
A .SE Domain is normally used by companies or private entities who are located in Sweden or who have business relationships with Sweden.

* Possible IDN characters are: å, ä, ö, ü and é
.SE domains can be registered online through webinterface or API. However some special parameters have to be specified.

To perform a change of registrant you have to:
* Download the form "Cancellation of Domain Name under .SE for the Benefit of Another Legal or Natural Person".
* Fill in the form and send it to +49 (6332) 79 18 65 or attach a scan to an email.
* Send us an email with:
** the contact handle of the new holder,
** his IDnumber ''(registrant's company registration number / fiscal code / id card number, required for registration)'' and
** his VAT ID ''(only required, if the domain owner is a company within the European Union, but not Sweden)''
Please note that .SE ownerchanges are not free of charge and will be billed like a new registration. The registration period will start over.
As .SE domains can only be registered on a yearly basis, they cannot be renewed explicitly. To renew an .SE domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to "AUTORENEW" or "RENEWONCE".
.SE domains can be deleted with the DeleteDomain command.
Please note, that the registry will send an invoice to the owner of a domain providing him the possibility to pay the renewal fee directly to the registry. If the invoice is not paid to NIC.se the domain will be finally deleted.
If you don't want the registry to send an invoice you have to send the respective Termination Fax directly to NIC.se.
You must always enter an ID number and VAT number along with a registration.
A transfer of an .SE domain is basically possible. You / the domain owner will have to accomplish the transfer through the Nic.SE website.
After a transfer the remaining registration period will be kept.
* First request a transfer for this domain in our system using the TransferDomain command.
* Go to href="http://domainmanager.iis.se" >http://domainmanager.iis.se] and login using your account number and password.
* Assign "keysys0702-00003" the admin-, tech- and billing-role for the domain.
