Domain Renewal

As .VG domains can only be registered on a yearly basis, they cannot be renewed explicitly. To renew an .VG domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to "AUTORENEW" or "RENEWONCE".

Deletion Process

.VG Domains can be deleted online through the Delete Command.

Transfer procedure

Inbound Transfers

Inbound Transfers can be requested via web interface or via API using the TransferDomain command. The domain owner will receive an email by the current registrar for this domain and be asked to approve the transfer.

Outbound Transfers

A transfer away from us is possible without any manual interaction. This is
the procedure which we recommend our customers:

* The registrant obtains the adamsnames contact handles which he would like to use as owner, admin, tech, and billing contact from his new registrar ''(e.g. "demoh000x")''.

* Then he can assign these contact handles in our system for his domain name with the prefix "tc." ''(e.g. "tc.demoh000x")''. This is possible for our direct resellers through our webinterface and as well through our API. If the registrant is not a direct reseller of ours he has to ask his domain provider for assistance.

* Then the new billing contact and the other contacts will be assigned automatically from our system and the transfer is finished.
